Preparation for Studios 301 = Busy Day Ahead
Lots of preparation involved for our live performance at Studios 301 with Mahmood Khan as we celebrate 50 million views on YouTube!
Yesterday was a bit crazy as we had the people who were supplying our lighting gear pull-out at the last minute. But hey, these things happen, and if you know me, I’m all ‘flow’ & if a tree or a mountain fall in my path I always find a way over it or around it ;)
So after chatting with Ashton about possible solutions & the gear needed I connected the dots with my new friends at the #ICEhub & Switch who happen to have all the equipment we need! Totally made my day & Ashton’s, too!
Thank u ICE & Switch! You’re my heroes!
Now I’m just busy sorting the talent for the dance component & this seems a little trickier based-on the time constraints of others, but the day is still young & I have a few contingency plans up my sleeve…
Working with @MahmoodKhan on producing the upcoming YouTube broadcast of our live performance @ Studios 301 - organizing the dancers & other talent ;)
@ Danks St, Waterloo: this morning’s meeting w/Bree from Appl, Pete, Chris & I from Plum Jungle, & Mahmood Khan
‘Like the River’ - Live Session for VH1, sponsored by Gibson Guitars & recorded @ Studios 301 in Sydney, Australia. This is one of my favourite songs that we play as MKF.
I love the sound of our Gibsons, all tuned differently, and combining to produce this deep shimmering quality! Mahmood tunes to an open ‘D’ chord, Anthony is in an open ‘G’, and I’m in standard tuning.
It was such a good energy & vibe to this whole gig & I really enjoy performing with everyone in MKF.
I hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
